Behind The Scenes
Hi, I’m Seb James, a 3D artist based in Manchester, UK and the 3D artist behind Pixel Deluxe.
I have nearly 20 years of experience in creating high-end 3D models and renders of products, motion graphics and 3D visuals for TV, airlines, and the entertainment industry.
As a part of Global Eagle Entertainment (now, Anuuvu) for 10 years, I worked on creating 3D animated airline safety videos and motion graphics for clients such as Etihad, TUI, South African Airways, Kuwait Airways, and as a highlight I created fully realistic 3D plane interiors for His Majesty The Sultan’s Flight - the Sultan of Brunei.
From May 2019 until September 2025 I headed the motion graphics department for ABF Pictures in Manchester. I worked there with the team in creating motion graphics and 3D visuals for TV commercials and social content.
The workload at ABF covered branded 2D motion graphics, creating 3D environments and products, motion tracking (with Syntheyes), clean-up, rotoscoping, green-screen keying, compositing, and ensuring a high-level quality output.
At ABF, I worked with such clients such as Hudl, Ocean Finance, Sykes, Oddbox, Laithwaite’s Wine, Wynsors, Think Money, BOTB, Discount Dragon and Numan, amongst many more. If you’re ever looking for a TV advert to get your brand to air, they’re a great team and would love to help.
Pixel Deluxe was created as a freelance opportunity to explore what I could do on my own two feet. I am honoured to now call companies such as Tens, Vacation, New & Lingwood, Eadem, and Poolsuite as my clients. As of September 2025 I’ve taken the decision to go full-time freelance, as I’d like to dedicate more time and effort to my clients.
I have a love for creating realistic looking 3D models and renders and strive to always create the best imagery that I can for my clients. I love the challenge in creating something photo-realistic and always try to push myself with each project.
